You go on ahead and think it's lame honestly I dont give a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO about what you think... if you don't want to do it and just want to sound like a hardass by saying its a terrible idea, just don't post... it's prety simple if you think you're big and bad because in a forum thread you believe you show off your knowledge of an online game and disprove everything said, then congratuRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOinlations do you want a cookie? honestly keep it to yourself if it's just bashing the idea of this because no one cares... and so you know I never said the judging criteria was a secret I just did not state what the criteria was, so don't go making shit up now because then you'd be the one lying now wouldn't you? I'd just like to say how is it obvious it won't work when it is already in progress right now...? just wondering because it seems to me that when something such as this idea is actually taking place it is indeed "working." How you have come up with the idea this is a scam is beyond me like i've said at the beginning of the post why is it you come to the automatic conclusion that it is a scam?

I dunno, but it sounds like a good thing to make money like that... BECAUSE, if the prizes of 1k/5k are 10k and like 15k. And lets say the 10k grand prize is 50k.... well although you gain money... The person who hosts and gathers the money gets all the $$ for... wait... doing a 1v1 pvp battle in a team pvp game. Hm, you should've done this in WoW buddy, not Guild Wars. If you were talking in a respective order, that means the 5k ladder winner gets 25k. I notice you have 16 players in the 5k ladder. That means you gain 80k from that, and only give 25k to the winner. Why not everything? or does this mean you only did this competition to gain money... and not really for the greater good for everyone? You deserve all the flaming your getting, especially when you posting in a place where many experienced players feel much different from you. I'm betting the only contestants you have are noob wammos who need money desparately, as i have seen, to earn the 25k, by only paying 5k.

If I were the creator, I would hand out ALL the money I get for entrance for EVERYONE. You know how much fun and different it would be if it was 8v8 of pure warrior tankers? That'd be fun, well not really, juts meatshields bsahing each other to death, but how about 8 v 8 like a real GvG battle. Also... if you keep that red engine up, you';ll be expecting more flaming lol

Some of the replies give good reasons why they're bashing it. If you can't address those reasons, then you don't make your idea look any better.

You should care if people bash your idea or not. If you can't disprove them, people will belive their opinion and won't join your ladder.

"working."

I think what they refer to as "working" is having a 1v1 warrior ladder which needs great strategy and skill. Unfortunatly, from what we've seen, it looks like it will be like a raffle. If you were lucky enough to bring the right skills to a match, you win without question.

When someone asks for money, the scam alarm bells start to ring. Yes, it's possible that this is a scam. Whether it's a scam or not, can't really be proven until someone trusted actually tries out your ladder and tells us. Don't act like it's impossible for you to scam anyone with this.

Also, upping the entry fee is a bit suspicious. It's like a scammer realizes that he won't get that much victims, so he tries to increase the profit per victim.

Although the idea is good.. There are just too many builds and counters out there to make this anywhat a test of skill.

The problem is. in most 1v1's. Two people will pack a rage of skills to try to counter as much as they can. Let's use a forum example and say someone (Player 1) brought Healing Hands.

After Player 1 destroyed player 2 with healing hands, they decided to have a re-match. This time player 2 brings shatter enchantment and Deals out massive damage to Player 1 whenever he uses HH...

Player 1 then goes off and uses a different build etc...

So the porblem here is that anyone here can be victorious if they just find the counters to the other players build...

PS. My Visage build will counter HH because of the energy drain. 'Fear me' would work ONLY if you wanded (probably a rule against that) otherwise it wouldn't charge up.
Then again shatter enchant ftw or e.denial would kill this build nicely.
